Technician Site Safety

This note is for TRULINK technicians on a booked customer visit, and for the person at the site. It covers CCTV, WiFi, cabling, fiber, biometric, and door-phone work.

1. Before work starts

• Confirm the address, the site contact, and the work that was booked.
• Start only when the site contact, or a person they named, is present.
• Ask where power, ladders, pets, wet floors, and locked rooms are before tools come out.
• Stop and call the office if the job is different from what was booked.

2. On the customer site

• Work only in the rooms and outdoor areas agreed for the visit.
• Ask before moving furniture, opening a panel, or drilling.
• Keep cables, tools, and the ladder out of walkways.
• Leave the work area clear when the visit ends.

3. Electrical safety

• Do not open a live enclosure. Isolate the relevant supply first, where the site allows it.
• Do not repair unknown, burnt, or damaged wiring.
• Stop work and call TRULINK if there is a shock risk, a burning smell, or water near power.

4. Working above floor level

• Use a stable ladder on a firm, level surface.
• Do not stand on furniture, racks, or boxes.
• Have a second person hold the ladder when the position is not safe to manage alone.
• Do not work at height in rain, on a wet roof, or in strong wind.

5. Cabling, CCTV, and fiber

• Fix cable runs so they are not a trip point across a floor or stair.
• Check the wall or ceiling with the site contact before drilling.
• Do not look into the end of a fiber that may be live.
• Keep fiber offcuts in a closed container, not on the floor.

6. If something goes wrong

• Stop the work and make the immediate area safe.
• Tell the site contact what happened.
• Call TRULINK on +91 96258 62001 before continuing.
